Verification methodology
Every robot in the registry has a verification level from 0 to 3. The registry recomputes it from accepted evidence: neither the owner nor anyone else can set it directly.
0/3 · Self-listed
Profile created without proof of ownership.
Anyone can register a robot. The profile exists and gets its permanent id, but nothing proves yet who owns it.
1/3 · Claimed
The owner confirmed their e-mail through a magic link.
The owner proved they control the email address or Google account tied to the robot, or the KyRobott team approved their claim.
2/3 · Verified
Physical proof was checked by the registry.
The owner provided proof tied to the physical robot, reviewed by the team: typically a photo of the robot next to the daily code, which changes every day to prove the photo is recent. A serial number or a redacted invoice can also be accepted.
3/3 · Certified
Certified by the manufacturer or a recognised authority.
The robot is certified by its manufacturer or a recognised authority.
Verified owner
An owner is “verified” as soon as at least one of their public robots reaches level 1. On an owner page, the level shown is the highest reached by their public robots, and “Verified robots” counts those at level 2 or above.
