Terms of service

KyRobott ("KyRobott", "we", "us") is a public registry of robots operated by DemtiliWorks, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. Contact: [email protected].

KyRobott is an independent, non-governmental registry. It is not affiliated with any government, manufacturer, or regulator.

By using kyrobott.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

KyRobott assigns each registered robot a permanent public identifier (e.g. KYR-000001) and a public page.

Registration or verification on KyRobott does NOT certify that a robot is safe, legally compliant, insured, or fit for any purpose. It only means that the information and proofs described on the page were provided or reviewed as stated.

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.

Some listings are created by KyRobott using publicly available information (for example, a robot's public social media account). These listings are clearly labeled "Listed by KyRobott from public sources" and are not yet claimed by the owner.

If you are the owner, you may claim the listing, request a correction, or request its removal at any time using the link on the page. We process these requests promptly.

Claims of ownership require proof (for example, a photo with a code of the day, control of the robot's official account, or a serial number or invoice). Claims are reviewed and never approved automatically.

Verification levels are awarded according to the same public criteria for everyone. They are never sold, and payment never affects a verification level or the order of organic results.

We may refuse, suspend, or revoke a claim or a verification if a proof turns out to be false, incomplete, or disputed.

A KyRobott identifier is never deleted or reused. Registry events (such as registration, claim, verification, change of owner, or retirement) are recorded permanently in the robot's history.

If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will erase it in accordance with applicable privacy law, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). The robot's record may then be marked "retired" and its identifier reserved, without your personal information.

You keep ownership of the content you submit (photos, descriptions, links). You grant KyRobott a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and adapt that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. This licence ends when the content is removed, except for registry events described in section 7.

You confirm that you have the right to submit the content, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

You may not:

• submit false information, impersonate another person, or claim a robot you do not own or operate;
• register fictional, fraudulent, or unlawful robots or uses;
• harass other users, send spam, or misuse the contact relay;
• scrape, copy, or resell the registry data in bulk without our written permission;
• attempt to break, overload, or bypass the security of the Service.

Messages sent through KyRobott are relayed without revealing the owner's email address. KyRobott is not a party to any agreement between users.

"Book" and "Request a quote" buttons redirect to the owner's own website or contact method. KyRobott does not process payments for bookings, takes no commission on them, and is not responsible for services provided by owners.

Security advisories, model specifications, and news published on KyRobott are provided for information only, from sources we cite. They may be incomplete or outdated. Always follow the manufacturer's official guidance.

Registering a robot, claiming it, and having a basic public page are free. We may offer optional paid features in the future. Their price and conditions will be shown clearly before any purchase, and no paid feature will be imposed on existing free features.

The KyRobott name, logo, design, and software belong to DemtiliWorks. Nothing in these Terms gives you a right to use them without our permission, except to link to or share your robot's public page.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from the conduct of users or robots listed on the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these Terms are breached or if required by law. Registry events recorded before the closure remain, as described in section 7.

We may update these Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Subject to your rights as a consumer, disputes will be heard by the courts of the judicial district of Gatineau, Quebec.
